Tajima Serial Connection Windows
Commercial Embroidery Software
I missed the part where you said that this was the first time you had tried to connect to the embroidery machine.Yes, it could be the cable (or other hardware, either on the computer or the embroidery machine). Most computers these days only have one physical serial port, hence COM1 and its shared COM3. COM2 (and its shared COM4) are left-overs from the days when everything connected by serial port and computers had two of them.AFAIK, the only way for you to get COM2 (and additional COM ports) would be to add device to your computer. You shouldn't need to do so unless the serial port on your computer is broken (unlikely):- LemP Volunteer Moderator MS MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) 2006-2009 Microsoft Community Contributor (MCC) 2011-2012.
